SEO/SEM Strategist

Data Street Marketing, a family-owned, full-service Digital Agency, is seeking a talented and experienced SEO/SEM Strategist to join our team. As part of an affiliated services group that owns and operates high-quality radio stations in Jackson, MS; Meridian, MS; and Dothan, AL, we are looking for a strategic thinker who can drive our search marketing initiatives to new heights.

Job Summary/Description:

The Senior SEO/SEM Strategist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive search engine optimization and marketing strategies for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of search algorithms, keyword research, and paid search campaigns. The ideal candidate will work closely with our cross-functional teams to enhance organic search visibility, optimize paid search efforts, and deliver measurable results that exceed client expectations.

  • This is a remote position.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO/SEM strategies for clients
  • Conduct thorough keyword research and optimize content for target keywords
  • Manage and optimize paid search campaigns across platforms like Google Ads (including YouTube) and Bing Ads
  • Perform regular website audits and implement technical SEO improvements
  • Analyze website analytics and search performance data to inform strategy decisions
  • Collaborate with content creators, web developers, and other team members to ensure SEO best practices are implemented
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO/SEM trends and algorithm updates
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports
  • Identify opportunities for improving search visibility and ROI for clients 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SEO and SEM roles
  • Proven track record of improving search rankings and driving organic traffic growth
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush
  • Proficiency in managing paid search campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and Bing Ads
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Google Ads and Analytics certifications preferred
